Event Insurance

Brown University may authorize the use of its facilities for non-business and non-political purposes. When this occurs, a specific policy governs the insurance requirements for these facilities. Other certain university events, such as co-sponsored events, may also require insurance coverage.

Provide Your Own Event Insurance

The acceptable form of this documentation is a certificate of insurance showing evidence of general liability insurance to cover the event and use of University facilities.

Purchase Event Insurance Coverage

If you're hosting an event at Brown University and need general liability insurance, there are a couple of options available to you.

Insurance may also be required for University events:

Held at Brown and are co-sponsored with another organization
Bring vendors or performers to campus
Present an unusual or high risk
