Insurance Requirements for Events
Refer to Brown's policy on Insurance Requirements for Facilities Use for Non-Brown Events.
The acceptable form of this documentation is a certificate of insurance showing evidence of general liability insurance to cover the event and use of University facilities.
If you're hosting an event at Brown University and need general liability insurance, there are a couple of options available to you.
Insurance may also be required for University events:
- Held at Brown and are co-sponsored with another organization
- Bring vendors or performers to campus
- Present an unusual or high risk
